DAILY CARE & MAINTENANCE
A good vacuum cleaner is your area rug's best friend. Invest in a quality vacuum and use it regularly! Nowadays, vacuums are more efficient and effective, and some are even robotic! Whichever vacuum you opt for, make sure you use it thoroughly—vacuuming removes dirt and dust from your area rug's fibers that would otherwise dull its appearance over time.
DEALING WITH SPILLS
When a spill occurs, clean it up as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will soak into the fibers and become a stain. Blot the spill with a dry cloth or paper towel. Dn't rub or scrape—this can damage the rug's fibers.
When dealing with a spill, use warm—not hot— water. Hot water can set the stain, which makes it even more difficult to remove. If a stain remover is needed, blot up any excess moisture before applying. Then, work it in gently. Do not apply more than is needed. When done, thoroughly rinse the spot with warm water and blot again with a dry cloth or paper towel.
